Beginners Class

What you can expect when you join a beginners class

The point of a beginners class is not to be worried if you don’t know the moves. All you need is the williness to learn and want to dance. I take you step by step through each move and slowly we piece the dance together.

Each week we go back over all the dances until eventually they sink in, which I promise you they will. Each week we add on a new dance. If you have basic line dance experience, you are welcome to start the beginners class at anytime.

What exactly is line dancing?

Just incase you have never seen anyone line dance, it is basiclly a group of people, dancing a repeated sequence in rows and lines, to a wonderful range of music that gets you singing along. Everyone moves in the same direction and dances the same steps.

What should you wear to line dancing

The most important thing to wear is proper footwear. A pair of runners are ideal. It can be restrictive to dance in sandals or beach shoes. The rest is up to you what ever is comfort. People come in shorts, dresses, skirts, jeans etc..

A few begininer tips

Some songs are better to Line Dance to than others.  It is all about the tempo and the beat of the song. Choreographers will hear a song they like and will make up a dance to that song. They can make is easy or hard, that is their choice. Waltz beat songs are very popular to dance to also.

Some music is Rumba, Quick step, Waltzes, Cha Cha, and Rolling Count.
